The Church of Christ in Christian Union Church, in Snyder County, started holding services in 1957, in the old schoolhouse, pictured to the left. Soon afterwards, ground was broken and building began, for a permanent location, up Rt. 104 near the Village of Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA. Now, we are making plans for our 70th Anniversary in 2027.
From the very beginning the vision and the message has been clear: We exist to lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He offers forgiveness of sins, transformation by His Holy Spirit, and Eternal Life that begins on Day One.
We believe that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. We offer classes, resources, and opportunities to help you grow in your faith and deepen your relationship with God. Currently, we have a 10AM Sunday Worship Service, where you can enjoy Fellowship with other Believers and Biblical preaching. A Small Group, at 6PM on Sunday evenings, is held in the Parsonage next door to the Church. Its purpose is to create deeper Discipleship(following Jesus wholeheartedly). Wednesdays, at 7PM, we hold a round-table style of Bible Study.
Kids can enjoy Jr. Church, which is held in our Family Life Center, at 10AM on Sundays. They can experience the Bible in real time with Bible Stories, Singing and Crafting. Seasonal programs give them the opportunity to show what they are learning to their family and the church.
E.C.L.: Evangelical Christian Ladies meet every second Thursday, in our Family Life Center, unless otherwise announced. They offer friendship, work projects and annual retreats. E.C.L. helps lead our church with outreach meals.
M.M.M.: Mission Minded Men meet bimonthly to bring men together for encouragement and spiritual growth.
B.L.E.S.S. stands for Begin with prayer. Listen carefully. Eat together. Serve your community. Share your story. This is a simple way to mobilize our people to love their neighbors and impact our community. We are launching this outreach in February 2025.
